The Global Anxiety Monitor uses a simple set of html-frames to display automated image searches in different languages.
Searching in Google for terms such as conflict, terrorism and climate change, this monitor traces the ebb and flow of fear in Arabic, Hebrew, English and Dutch.
The project is a part of Historiography Tracer, a larger research thread developed by De Geuzen, looking at how media images and their meanings fluctuate in the ecology of the world wide web.
